Yarlington Lodge by The Newt in Somerset introduces three new country residences – both secluded and sociable – with a Regency rectory at its core. Set within 12 acres and surrounded by rolling countryside, historic gardens and glasshouses, the stately enclave has been restored with every attention to detail and comfort, including the sensible addition of your own private chef and butlers.

Setting the Somerset Scene
Green space abounds at Yarlington Lodge. Stroll floriferous gardens, scented walkways and seasonal displays. Soak in bucolic vistas, play croquet on pristine lawns or simply lose yourself in acres of manicured grounds.
Beyond the boundaries, Somerset countryside sprawls into ancient deer parks and long-worked fields that speak of centuries of farming. Within easy walking distance lie Yarlington village with its Stag’s Head Inn and medieval church of St Mary, a trout lake for fly fishing, and a network of local paths, including an easy route over to the Farmyard and wider Newt in Somerset estate.
A Curated Country Life
Yarlington Lodge is in possession of all the expected comforts, and a few unexpected ones besides, from an indoor-outdoor pool and a professional kitchen primed for Palm House celebrations, to a tennis court with a personal practice wall. Lesser details have not been overlooked, with fully equipped kitchens in every property for keen cooks, drying cupboards in the Boot Room and Chameau wellies provided for ventures beyond the house.
Guests are invited for spoiling stays to enjoy a curated country life, rich in character, history and the enduring pleasures of a gentler time.

Our butler team and private chef remain at your disposal throughout your stay, sparing you the inconvenience of attending almost anything at all.
Spa therapists, personal trainers and babysitters can attend the house, or guests may choose to visit The Newt to make the most of its many creative, rural and horticultural pursuits.
Yarlington Lodge by The Newt in Somerset is a private, exclusive-use Regency country house within The Newt estate. It's set within its own 12 acres, with breathtaking views of the rolling hills of Somerset.

- The main house – Yarlington Lodge has 8 bedrooms (two of which form a family suite with a shared bathroom).
- The Coach house has four bedrooms (two of which have two single beds).
- Cottage in the Wall has four bedrooms.
- We have accessible rooms in Yarlington Lodge and Cottage in the Wall.
